EXPANDED BIO
McKeel Drax writes political and international thrillers that explore the fragile intersection of power, security, and human judgment. His work focuses on the moments when institutions fail and individuals are forced to make decisions with no clean outcome.

Born in Scotland, Drax served in the British military before beginning a second career in corporate management in London. Years spent inside large multinational organizations navigating risk, leadership, and complex global systems continue to inform the geopolitical realism and institutional dynamics that shape his fiction.

He now lives near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, not far from where he was born. When he is not writing, he can often be found walking the hills with his two red Labrador retrievers, Finlay and Mairi, or reading history and strategy late into the night.
