Systems. Time. Consequence

Calder Prysen writes speculative fiction that explores the systems shaping the future—where technology, power, and human decision converge. His work focuses on how complex structures emerge, evolve, and ultimately determine outcomes long before individuals realize what’s at stake.

THRESHOLD

Two Leaders. One Decision. Time is running out.

As instability spreads and control begins to slip, two leaders are forced into a confined, high-stakes decision environment. Cut off from the outside world and running out of time, they must confront a single question: what happens when the system can no longer correct itself?

The In-Between

As the foundations of a new global system begin to take shape, the world enters a period of transition—unstable, uncertain, and largely unnoticed. Competing forces move beneath the surface, shaping outcomes long before they are visible. In this space between what was and what comes next, the direction is set—and not everyone understands what’s already in motion.

The Optimization Table

As systems mature and control begins to consolidate, decisions are no longer made in the open. Behind closed doors, a small group works to refine outcomes at scale—eliminating inefficiency, reducing risk, and redefining what control actually means. But as the margin for error disappears, so does the space for dissent.

The Equinox Protocol Series

At the far edge of system evolution, balance is no longer a goal—it’s enforced. As competing forces converge toward a single, irreversible outcome, the final architecture begins to take hold. What remains is not whether the system will stabilize, but whether anything outside it can still exist.

EXPANDED BIO

Born in Wales, Wynn has lived and worked across multiple continents in roles spanning complex operational and technology-driven environments. That global experience informs the layered systems, strategic tension, and realism that define his fiction.

Calder Prysen’s work is rooted in an interest in how systems evolve over time—particularly those shaped by technology, governance, and human behavior. His fiction examines not just the moment of decision, but the structures that make those decisions inevitable.
